Tax Manager Position, at the Cadesky Downtown office

We are looking for a responsible and analytical individual who has made proactive tax planning a career. The ideal candidate will be a chartered professional accountant, completed Parts I, II and III of the CPA Canada In-depth tax course and have a minimum of three years’ experience in tax. The successful candidate will possess good communication and problem solving skills, be a team player and be able to gain the trust of clients.

We have a strong commitment to training through our in-house training program, outside seminars, courses offered by CPA Canada, The Canadian Tax Foundation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and, most importantly, on the job.  The successful candidate will also participate in our annual conference of the Tax Specialist Group.

Tax Senior Position, at the Cadesky Uptown office

We are looking for a responsible and detailed oriented individual who enjoys working on the various income tax related compliance matters.  The ideal candidate should have a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and be proficient in preparation of Canadian individual, trust and corporate tax returns, possess good communication skills, be a team player and ensure deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will also handle the tax compliance role of a family office.

The successful candidate will work with partners and managers on various matters including:

  • Modeling of tax computations related to planning files.
  • Liaison with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
  • Assistance in preparing submissions to the CRA in response to enquiries and audits.
  • Assistance in preparing Notices of objection and supporting documents.
  • Preparation of Canadian corporate, individual and trust tax returns.
  • Preparation of foreign reporting and tax election forms.

U.S. Tax Analyst Position

Cadesky U.S. Tax Ltd provides U.S. tax compliance and U.S. planning services to clients and their Canadian advisors.  The practice has had considerable growth and is looking to expand our service capabilities.

We are looking for a pleasant self-starter to fill a tax analyst role. Prior exposure with Canadian and U.S. tax preparation would be an asset. The successful candidate’s duties will include:

  • Preparation of U.S. corporate tax returns.
  • Preparation of U.S. personal and trust income tax returns.
  • Preparation of tax election forms.
  • Communicate requests for information to clients and follow-up as necessary
  • Research (electronic and paper) in order to find answers/solutions to client queries.
  • Pro-forma computations and the modeling of client information using Excel.
  • Spreadsheet preparation.
